Saheefa has made herself a household name in a short amount of time proving that hard work, dedication and most importantly aesthetic sense can take you to far places when it comes to the fashion world. She is young and edgy, a much needed breath of fresh air within an industry that is often dominated by a few icons that the youth can’t relate to. Saheefa opens up a platform for all those young girls who share a passion for offbeat trends. We tracked Saheefa down for all of you fashion maniacs so she can provide an update on what it is like to be a fashionista in the current times.
1) Hey Saheefa! Firstly tell us about your experience as a Model in Pakistan?
It was something I always wanted to do, deep down I wanted to conquer world one way or another. I would have gone into army only if they have allowed me some tattoos and shorts!
2) What was it like being a part of PSFW’16?
Fashion works are always amazing, getting to know other models closely, being friends with them, spending three to four days together, working together and pulling off the whole event is just amazing.
3) How do you go about your personal style?
Basics. A white top, blue jeans, khaki, brown bag and probably a black hat in summers. Can’t leave home without my rings though.
4) Who are your favorite designers?
List is pretty long but to keep it basic and short I love Nomi Ansari and Fahad Hussayn.
5) How would you define the current fashion sense in Pakistan?
Too mainstream. Everyone is doing what is being posted on instagram and other social media platforms. It’s a race. Either if it’s about lawn or either you wearing your Gucci shoes and carrying LV Bags. Lack of personal taste and sense is a huge problem.
